Mossberg 500 stock cap for grip ?

Hey, just wondering if all mossberg 500 comes with a cap under the grip end ? As I was shooting the other day I noticed that there wasnt a cap. Havent noticed before so Im just curious. Looked in my gun locker but nothing. I dont shoot it much so im unsure if it happened while shooting. Its not a big deal and just curious. I Might just cut some hard black plastic in a circle and fit/glue it on. Thanks
