Mossberg 500 stock removal

Hey cgn,

I cannot seem to get my 1/2 hex head bolt off my mossberg 500 stock. Does anyone know what tool i need? Is it a 1/2 ratchet of some sort? I’m used to a flathead screwdriver removal from a 870. Any help is appreciated. Thanks cgn!

If it's a hexagon bolt, use a thin wall, deep socket and extension for a 3/8 ratchet.

Okay thanks! Do i need a 1/2 socket or a 3/8 socket?

My mossberg 535 ats is a 9/16 thin wall socket but its also cut for a slot screwdriver
