So recently I bought a stock and forend for my Mossy 500 shotgun, from Marstar Canada, guys did a great job, I received the package in less than one week.Pretty speedy and its awesome, Thumbs up for Marstar.

I installed the new stock on my Mossy, and of course, done! a piece of cake.
However, the new forend was trying to be the pain in the @ss, its way too long than my slide tube! :(
like what I used to do, unscrewed the tube, take the forend and the tube apart, put the tube into the new forend, and oops, I couldnt screw the tube!
the forend is long, and stops the tube and the tube ring from being together.
so I went to the internet for help, and I learned that, the old Mossy 500 uses the 7-3/4" action slide tube, however, the newly one uses a shorter version, the 6-3/4" action slide tube.

the tube stucks into the forend, in which I have no problem pushing it backward, but when I pull it forward, the forend fells off from the tube,
so I just can't finish a cycle of pumping.
and to solve the problem, they told me that I should go to Brownell or elsewhere to purchase a 7-3/4" tube------for $60+shipping!
nobody is ripping me off like this, I ain't got money for that!
so I figured out a new way to deal with it, for $0.02, costed a nail, and here it is:

I went to the range and fired 100 buckshots thru it already, it is smoothy still, that nail is doing a great job!

I don't know that am I the only one who experiences this problem, but I write it down anyways, for those who owns a Mossy and faces this problem in the future, here is always a option that costs you the less.

but the thing is, the forend inside is crafted to just fit the shorter nut, theres no space between the tube and forend, a longer nut goes in, theres no space for it to screw the tube... if you know what I mean:p

You mean, if you insert the extension nut, you can't get to it to turn it? If that's the case, they make a wrench...

cough cough.... the first 20 shots were fine, but the 22nd shot got it broken. so I'm sorry to say but DO NOT try this way, I have to spend extra money to get a 7-3/4 tube and a forend :(
