Hello everyone,

Anybody who own one of this firearm have difficulty to change the barrels?(first time) The 2 extra barrel looks like stack halfway.

I'm pretty sure I'm understanding you correctly and you say you can remove and re-install your 28" barrel with no problem, but your two accessory barrels ( turkey barrel and fully rifled deer barrel) are giving you difficulties. They should install exactly the same( and just as easy) as the 28" barrel. You could also try with the slide all the way back. Its not what Mossberg recommends, but I've never had a problem with it. If that doesn't work take it back to where you bought it.

You understand correctly.

if i recall correctly with my Mossberg, sometimes you had to wiggle the slide between fully back and middle position, and turn the barrel a bit till it dropped into place.

but looking at that barrel pic you posted, it looks like there is some serious binding going on there. are these barrels from Mossberg or aftermarket barrels? did they come with the gun?

you could try oiling it a bit - looks pretty dry. whatever you do dont try and just brutally force it - the Mossberg receiver is aluminum.

You understand correctly.

If you can remove and re-install one barrel but not the other two, I'm guessing there is something wrong with those barrels. I'm a little over an hour north of you, if your up for a road trip tommorow morning, bring it up and I'll have a look. I have two more Mossberg 500's to compare it to.

Ok guys the oil helped a little . I could get the turkey barrel on , still not that easy like the 28" but its on. Tomorrow I will work on the deer barrel.

Thanks Jozsef

Working Man,

Thanks for the offer . If I can't make it work I will send you a pm and if you have some time next weekend I take the trip.

Thanks Jozsef

I have the Mossberg ATS 535 with the same barrels. Absolutely no issues getting them on and off. I would have a smith look at it.

Mike.
