Good morning,

I felt you guys might be the best to ask. I live in the FV so I am local.

I am looking to get a shorty Barrel for my Mossberg 500L. Would the best option be to get myself a standard vent rib barrel and have it cut and crowned ? or a rifled barrel ?

The Left hand model was hard to find and I got the combo with two barrels but a shorty would be super awesome to have as well.

Thoughts ?

Cheers,
B

Depends how short you want to go - can't go much shorter than the factory 18.5" barrel without changing the magazine tube. There is also legal hurdles to cutting a barrel - they can be manufactured shorter than 18" but you can't buy a factory Mossberg barrel than chop it to sub-18".

As to vent rib vs rifled that would depend on what you plan to do with it - Rifled barrels are useful if you only plan to shoot slugs, but they're not very good for shot.

Dlask do you guys manufacture Mossberg barrels? Or do you guys only play with the Rem 870 platform?

I am having issues even finding an 18.5" barrel. I currently have the 26" and 24" Both of which I may be able to find another of.

I don't need crazy short I was thinking defender length if anything. I feel like id g smooth bore for shot.
