I'm 90% sold on this shotgun for pheasant and waterfowl in the coming seasons, only $309 at Frontier :D

I've read reviews and they've all praised the firearms as being well worth the money, even if it isn't exactly what they'd expect from a more expensive model.

Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about it, especially relating to hunting pheasant and waterfowl?

I'm sure the gun is fine, but 99 times out of 100 you won't need a 3 1/2" gun. As far as pump guns go I like the 870 myself. I tried to buy a 835 once, but couldn't get over the clunk factor. This one seems to be narrowed down a bit, so it should be a little nicer to handle. As for performance on birds, I'm sure you'll be very happy with it. Happy Hunting. :)

With pheasant hunting, involves alot of walking, and this gun is a bit heavy, id look at something a lil more lighter, like and semi-auto

I think the mossy is going to be alot light than most semis. For 300 bucks you can't go wrong. I would skip the rifle sights on the pictures tho.

Thanks for the responses guys. After looking at a few local hunting shops I can't even find 3 1/2" shells so I guess that feature isn't all that important, as long as it'll take geese!

I'm looking at used shotguns and it looks like I could get a semi for the same cost as a new 535 ATS. I would think that quicker follow up shots would be an asset, but I've also been told that using a semi sometimes results in not putting enough thought into the first shot. The reason being that the "spray and prey" mentality comes into play.
