Mossberg 535 Barrel in 500 Receiver?

If I were to buy a Mossberg 535 barrel, would it fit and function with the 500 receiver? I am looking for a barrel for my mossberg 500 for an upcoming turkey hunt but the selection of 500 barrels are slim.

Obviously I can't use 3.5 shells but do you think I could swap in a 535 barrel and use 3 inchers?

Kinda new to the whole swapping barrels thing but I don't want to go buy a whole new gun just for 1 hunt.

Will it fit a 590 reciever? I have a 20" barrel on it now??

What happened to the barrel that is currently on the mossburg 500? if the barrel is a long 28", for turkey hunting is fine, shorter is obviously easier to swing around dense bush. If the barrel that is on it is good, just use it no matter the length, its all in the ammo that works for that gun well.

I have an 18.5 inch breacher barrel. I was considering of using it and charging at the turkey with my sharp & spikey barrel.

Why not buy an older 500 fixed choke barrel? They are 3 inch chambers.
