i recently bought a mossberg 535 deer and field combo shotgun.i wasn't able to handle one before i bought it.due to there poor access in saskatchewan.i tried everywhere to find one. i wanted the synthetic camo but none could be found. so i ordered the wood one instead. i'm not very impressed with it as it is very front end heavy and fits very long.the site on the slug barrel is brutal and the wood is very cheap. i was a mossberg lover for years but this poor gun and there terrible customer service has soured me. i also own a maverick 88 that was new but unfired for many years the forend broke and of course none in canada. i imagine it will be 6 weeks till i get a new one. i also own a 835 and it is the greatest shotgun i have ever owned. next time i will buy another 835 or handle and try a different brand

I bought the same 535 combo last year. It is a budget gun but I have found it works flawlessly. Extremely fast followup shots. I only have 2 minor complaints:
It has a really large grip which it harder to hold with my smaller hands
It's a pain in to put back together the first time you take it apart.
Otherwise I think it's a good value overall.
