I have a 590 Retrograde that is an 18” cylinder bore barrel. I’ve been using it in a few tactical competitions and I’d like the ability to tighten up my patterns as the spread from the cylinder bore is a bit too much at distance. This is a 590, not the 590A1 heavy barrel, so I’m wondering if these barrels are thick enough to thread for chokes? Also any recommendations on who to send it to would be appreciated
Thanks

Casey at Tac ordnance can thread it for you, depending on if it's heavy wall or not, on light wall he'll use tru chokes, he did my versmax after I had him shorter then barrel. very happy with it.

just re read what you said it's not the heavy barrel, so he can stick thread for the thinner tru chokes, he has the extended ones you can thread out by hand, I highly suggest those

Rusty Wood threaded Winchokes into my 14" HP9-1.

Peter does good work and he's in Mission near you.
+1 for Peter at Rusty Wood, he is set up for tru chokes as well as a thin wall option. So you’ll be covered if the barrel wall at the muzzle isn’t thick enough for Rem or Win chokes.

He’s threaded a barrel for me and the work was excellent and turn around time was fast.
