My gunsmith has been looking for the last 4 1/2 months for a trigger (not the mechanism, just the actual trigger) for a Mossberg 590 Mariner, does anyone have just the trigger for sale for this shotgun ?

I'm assuming the trigger is the same for a regular non-mariner 590 no? Or is the finish different?

A 590 trigger shouldn't be THAT tough to find. Check brownells.

I have a Mossberg 590 Mariner. The shotgun is finished with Marinecote, the trigger as well. I would check with Mossberg for the availabilty of triggers finished this way. I know Brownells doesn't stock them.

Thanks Turf for the insight. I along with my Gunsmith having been trying to contact Mossberg for months. Apparently they don't believe in returning calls and/ or emails. The search continues...

That's to bad when I called Mossberg last year they sent me some sight screws for free.
Why did you have to wait for a call back?
They should be able to tell you straight up if they have parts available.
If it's an export issue then maybe you might have to fill out some paperwork or get Questar to do it but I'm amazed that they would just blow you off like that.
Is it a warranty type issue? What happend to the original trigger?
I'd keep phoning myself untill i got an answer one way or the other.
Good luck!

Well gee holey whizz. Just thought I would point out the obvious. Ain't no one here got a Marinecote trigger for a Mossberg 590. I get along quite well with Mossberg. Barrels, mag tubes, plugs, bolts you name it. OH and by the way, trigger groups.

Go to Brownells and buy a can of Alumahyde. Mossberg always phones me back.:p

You want a marinecoat trigger? Buy a regular one and send it to Gunnar at Armco for a electroless nickel finish (thats all marine coat is.) He runs his own baths, or you can get a kit for doing the plating yourself from Caswell.
