I am looking for one with a higher mag capacity, 8+1 IIRC.

Have you handled one? You pay quite a price in nose heaviness for those extra two rounds, some people are ok with that, many aren't.

i got the reg 590 with the 9 (2-3/4) and 8(3"). not too bad fully loaded plus it has the speed loader stock with 4 extra rounds. I also bout a baynoet at milarm for chits and giggles
