Mossberg 590S safety hard to move

My Mossberg 590S has a safety that is very hard to move from safe to fire and vice versa.

I've tried pushing down on it, took it apart and cleaned it. No improvement.

Anyone else have this problem?

My 500A was always easy to move.

The safety on my (2002 vintage) 590A1 was always stiff and notchy. I tried to replace the detent spring with no success - the safety would engage upon recoil. I eventually ordered replacement parts from Numrich, replaced it all (plate, spring, ball, slider-button, and it works smoothly and properly now.

I just bought a 940 Pro Tactical. The safety was Extremely hard to move. I read on another forum to put a dab of oil and work it fast 100 times. I did that and it improved 75%. Now it's perfect. I don't want it to be too easy to cycle.
It was so stiff at first I had to wear a pair of gloves to start breaking it in, because it chewed my thumb up lol.
