Mossberg 702 Int' plinkster stock replacement.

Friend of mine has one of the original mossberg 702 international plinksters and the stock is ruined. (AR style)

Was wondering what other stocks can fit that gun. I heard that the newer ar style mossberg stock dont fit, but some of the older marlin stocks fit with some modding. Not sure why.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to finding a normal rilfe stock for this gun? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Boyd's makes a thumbhole stock and another regular synthetic stock with a kinda pistol grip, not too sure if you can get the ar style replacement anywhere
