hey guys, i picked up my first .22 today. got a decent deal on it and i was feeling saucy so i jumped on it. havent shot it yet but next outing i will for sure. it came with the 10 rd magazine but that clearly wont be enough, so im looking for something a little larger. did some google searching and not coming up with much. someone mentioned that they modified a 10/22 mag to fit, but id rather not start cutting and pasting if i can help it. so whats out there and wheres the best place to get it?

The mossberg 22 tactical is just a 702 dressed up. The 25 round mags should fit the 702. It would look like crap but you would have what you wanted without having to modify anything.

i could have sworn i saw that that tactical used a wider mag than the plinker.

good info and thanks for the links guys. i didnt think id eve go with a .22 but the price was right and ith ammo his cheap its hard to pass it up :)

whatever you get don't waste your money on the Shooter's Ridge mags, they're garbage, they jam continuously and the one I had was cracked in three places after the first use

I bought one that ran flawlessly for the first trip through hundreds of rounds, then the second time out it got really stiff and wouldnt take more then 10 rds without piling up inside. I geuss theyre a one time use kind of deal

see right there, thats the kind of word of mouth i look for, from real people who have real experience with these things. great info thanks for the help guys

I didn't even get through one mag full, the very first time I used it I had to take it out of the gun about 5-6 times to cycle the first lot of bullets through it

its a damn shame cause I love the double stack mags for their compact size and no banana curve. Ive got 2 32 rd. promags that never jam. Ever.

The Plinkster has way too much recoil for me. I'd only suggest getting the one this one:
