Just got a call from the gun store. Was told mid Nov was the shipping date.
Have you guys hear otherwise?
329.99 was the cost + tax. I forgot to ask about the mag size, 10 or 25.

Way cheaper than the SR-22, and non restricted, unlike the colt, Issc Mk2 and the M&P 15-22.
Yes it's cheaper and expect the quality to be reflicted in it. However I just can't justifiy buying a M&P knowing I'm limited to ten rounds max and only shooting at the range.
Your thought?

Pretty sure it comes standard with the 25-round mag. The 10 round mag usually comes in the box when you order the 702 plinkster which is the same firearm without the AR-type stock. But that 25-round mag was specifically designed for the mossberg tactical, so i don't see why they would ship anything else with it. Its also pictured on the website with the 25 rounder.

For me, if i had to choose, i'd go with the ISSC scar. May be a bit more expensive, but i know i'd prefer it overall. Just in terms of looks, the scar wins.

Have you thought about the Ruger SR22?

I too was looking for a plinker.
Also looked at the Mossberg, but it is a plastic gun with lots of issues according to the reviews that I found on the internet forums.
So......suggestion:
This is what I did.
First it's a non-restricted weapon as well.
Purchased the Ruger SR22, more metal, excellent 10/22 with a fixed stock but still looks like a collapsable one. If you want something that does not jam up this maybe the way for you to go when shooting. Also it comes with a 10 mag but I purchase 2 - 25 round mags. Purchased in Calgary for $499 +tax for the gun and another $50 for 2-mags.
The only issue is it does not have iron sights, so I am in the process of finding a scope that I like. Can't make up my mind to go Red-Dot or just a good scope.

I was told by a number of people if you're going to buy, always make sure that you purchase one that will fit your needs and your own personal values. I do not like equipment that fails or jams up!
I want to enjoy the gun and the moment!
Well, that's my 2 cents!

The big problem with the Ruger (for me personally) is that it doesn't look anything remotely similar to an AR-15.

The Mossberg, Smith & Wesson, and the Colt all look just like a real AR-15. For many people, that just makes it a lot more fun to shoot.

I'm not even sure what the SR-22 is supposed to resemble. Also there's no last shot hold open, which is a deal breaker for me. The Mossberg locks back on empty, and so does the Smith. (not sure about the Colt?)
