Mossberg 715T spontaneously locking open

Just bought moss 715T. Fired 34 rds of rem thunderbolts. Every 2nd or 3rd shot the bolt would lock open. Any suggestions on a fix?

Switch ammo!

Yup. Remington and Winchester don't seem to work. CCI or Blazer for sure

With both of mine, AE was the ammo the gun liked best.
The best thing to do is clean your gun and try about 5-8 different brands/types and see what it likes.

I think your problem is that its a 715

I Have a thousand rnds of thunder bolt through mine with out any problems,,just saying it could be something other than the ammo causing this.There is a forum called mossberg owners with a section dedicated to 715 t. You may find somebody there with same problem.Like to add that a lot of people did have trouble with ammo and found that cci works better ,only one way to know for sure though, is try some

I have tried tones of different brands of 22 LR in my t715 and CCI stingers is the only stuff that works consistently in mine.
