Hey guys, well i committed to a brand new Mossberg 817, from one of the members here! Its brand new, in the box.
I'ts the model with the black synthetic thumbhole stock, and appears to have the standard barrel on it.
I have a question regarding the barrel, is there an aftermarket heavy barrel for this thing? If so, where would i get one? Or can i get a heavy barrel right from mossberg?
Also, how will a regular scope mount work with this? is the bolt handle going to interfere with a scope? I'm going to be looking for a "cheap, but good" varmint type scope for this thing.
One of the first things im going to do is work on the trigger.... ive read that disassembling it and polishing everything up greatly improves the trigger.
Now, im just waiting for a reply from another member here on a 10/22 Marauder! its a toss up between his and another! If i get an answer today, i'll be buying a Marauder (Nomad) as well!!!
