Hoping someone on here has some information on this model. Current model is the one I'm interested in, apparently the quality of older models and new ones are totally different for some reason. I'm getting a 28"VR with the accumag choke set and a Rifled slug barrel, all in mossy oak camo. I hope I made the right decision but I couldn't refuse at the price I'm getting it for! I know that all the other mossy's I've shouldered have felt pretty good for me so I'm getting all my marbles that this one is the same or better......

Thanks in advance..

I've used an 835 for ducks and geese for the last couple of years with great results.Reliability is great, patterns well and I like the lefty friendly saftey.I have noticed that if you use 2 3/4 or 3 inch shells alot the chamber must be cleaned well as when you switch to 3 1/2 shells they can stick in the chamber.I also like the price of $350 or so as my duck gun has a rough and abused life.

My old hunting partner had one and loved it. I like the whole 'overbored' barrel deal... looks like a 10 gauge at the muzzle. Patterns well, and never jammed.

He had one in camo... very rugged and dependable.

I have one and as long as you keep it fairly clean you will never have a problem. Mine patterns the 3" kentfasteel #2's good for ducks and win 3.5 BB. for geese. I never use the full or extra full chokes, IC and MOD are the best choice depending on the ranges you will be shooting.
