I have a 930 Tactical, with the breaching attachment on the muzzle. I bought it mail order, for bear country, and didn't realize it would be such a nuisance to carry. The teeth are very sharp, and catch on everything. I'm wondering, can this attachment be threaded off, or is it bonded permanently? I'd hate to start twisting on it, if it's fused.

i believe it is attached permanetly and helps make the legal length of the barrel. would you be interested in a trade? i have a mossberg 930 18.5 security barrel with about 60 rounds through it. i generally only ever use my longer barrel for clays.

this is the standard barrel with peep sight

I have the same gun and it appears to me that the door breacher ( some people refer it to meat grinder LOL) is either one piece or silver solder on.

If you look at it carefully even if you can remove it ( please don't ) you will turn your 930 into prohibited because looks like it it will be under 18 inches without the door breacher.

I would rather shop for an extra barrel and leave the one you have the way it is.
