I have a 935 and i love it! Definately one of the best bang for your buck guns out there. Now of course, you'll have the people who love them and the people who absolutely hate them. I've found that generally the people who absolutely hate them have either never used one, never gave one a fair chance, or prefer guns that cost 2-3 times more.
Positives include the over-bored 10g barrel, quick mag unload feature, cocking indicator in trigger guard, ambidextrous saftey, stock adjustor spacers....and of course price. The 10g barrel not only helps with recoil, but also throws the best shot patterns i've ever experienced or seen with any 12g shotgun. If you use the gun with 3.5" loads, I would recommend investing $40 on a limbsaver recoil pad as it does tame down the recoil substantially. If you dont use 3.5" shells, the stock recoil pad is more then adequate. Stay away from all Federal Blackcloud ammo and 3.5" Remington Hypersonics.
I recommend stripping the gun down and give it a very good cleaning. The gun will come packed with greese from the factory...and you MUST get rid of all it, especially in and on the bolt. I would also recommend using Breakfree CLP as a lubricant for this gun as it seems to work the best on a 935. This gun DOES require a good break in period and you may experience some jamming when its fairly new. This is usually when most people get fed up with it, get rid of the gun and call it a POS. I found that most 935's start to function flawlessly at about 75 rounds, and that includes with 2.75" shells. My 935 can easily cycle light target loads despite Mossberg indicating that its for 3-3.5" loads only.
All in all, a great gun at an even better price. Its my go to gun for duck, goose, and turkey hunting. I also have a rifled cantilever barrel which I would use if I decide to do some big game hunting. I also picked up a sweet pistol grip rear stock that i use when turkey hunting....accessories for the 935 are not hard to find. The only thing that would get me to replace my 935 is if Mossberg come out with a 935 with walnut stocks!
