Mossberg 935 Ulti Mag

From all I've heard and read the "Overbore" barrels do not pattern as good as a normal bore. Personally I'd stick to traditional barrels and shoot Federal "Flight Control" 3" 2 oz turkey loads. These don't require the constriction that normal shot cups do to produce tight 40 yard patterns. But above everything else...find a shotgun you are comfortable with and can hold up for a period of time on target!

I thought I posted something about this a while ago, but I couldn't find it. I have a 935 Magnum that I bought for turkey. I love it. Really inexpensive. It's not the finest-finished shotgun that I've handled, but I think that it is certainly on par with it's price tag. It doesn't cycle 2 3/4 inchers reliably which is a con for some, but it was never designed to. I find that it patterned quite well for me using Federal 3 1/2 inch flight control turkey rounds. I have also since purchased a canti rifled slug barrel for it. It is a pretty meaty barrel and it shoots Win Platinum tips and Rem Copper Solids into 1.5 inches at 100 yds. If you are looking for bang-for-buck, as you mention, I think that you can't go wrong with this shotgun.

Have one too! For the $$$ can't go wrong! They have some nice pumps too! Good prices at wholesale sports.

Dave.
