mossberg 935

A buddy of mine brought one up one year he had won at a DU dinner. It cycled 2 3/4” 3 dram 1 1/8 oz target loads just fine shooting grouse with it.
reson Im askin is cuz im wanting a new auto loader and the browning maxus has trigger issues, every one who has one says the same thing, and a berretta a400 is out of my price range same as a benneli sb3 or 2 what ever they call it
unless I find a great browning gold , the Mossberg has peaked my interest

I've had a 935 for a few years with no issues at all. It will cycle all but the lightest 2 3/4" loads, and often will cycle them, just not 100% of the time. I've never had it jam with a 2 3/4" hunting load. In fact, I often mix 2 3/4", 3" and 3 1/2" hunting loads in the gun.

I had one for several years and used it for waterfowl only due to its weight. Mine shot heavy 2 3/4 inch shells ( 11/4 oz high brass) but would often jam with lighter shells. It patterned well for most steel shot and as reliable but since I don't hunt waterfowl any more so I sold it along with the slug barrel I had ( one of the few slug barrels chambered for 3 1/2" shells.

I have a 935 that I use mostly for waterfowl, so mostly 3" and 3-1/2" steel. I have run a few cheap 2-3/4" target loads through it as well, no issues with anything I have run through it.

Two friends shoot Maxus, and zero issues with thousands of rounds fired. Myself and another friend shoot SX-3, and no issues, for even less cost.
