Mossberg 940 pro waterfowl

Greetings,

Recently purchased this shotgun and have been happy with it. Recently noticed a flat section of the barrel that I was curious if this is a blem , a part of the manufacturing process, or something that impacts function and or safety. Looking down the bore I don’t see anything abnormal.

Looks like a flaw in the finish or perhaps a flaw in the barrel itself, looks pretty minor, can’t see it affecting functionality but if you are particular I can’t see it not bothering you
Personally it wouldn’t bother me too much as i tend to be kind of rough on my shotguns, but never nice to find a flaw on a new shotgun. I just picked up a 940 Pro Field in June, and like you, I am enjoying it very much.
