Mossberg 940 Tactical

just grabbed the 940 pro turkey 18.5", liked it better than the tactical 5 shot, it's lighter, likely all barrel, chrome lined tac vs regular turkey? it holds 4+1 2 3/4" but 3+1 3" fyi, would that single extension work on the 940 pro tac and turkey 5 shot?
for others interested, I think maybe I got a gen3 as it's got the nice plastic bolt release that's longer to the front, more rectangular in shape nicely rounded, but bolt open you cannot load mag, close bolt you can load mag, you cannot 'flood' it by hitting the bolt release like earlier versions and or jm/tac versions which may continue to be able to do? which I like, I don't want to inadvertently flood the thing by hitting the button once loaded up, doesn't matter if lifter is up or down...you cannot get it to release a shell from the mag tube by hitting the bolt release...just fyi, and mine came 7 lb 1 oz with the xx full ported .670 turkey choke and just under 14" lop spacers installed, I removed the one 1/2" spacer to bring down to just under 13.5" lop and 7.0 lbs, trigger at 4.5 lbs(awesome),
I haven't had a chance to go break it in yet but mine is wearing an enclosed emitter larger full size pistol frame holosun eps green mrs and it's awesome, big fov, bright, super easy to find dot, solar etc. and some extended Carlson non ported IC/M/F chokes are on the way as I'm not really going to be turkey hunting this lol, but being as it's the exact same dimensionally as the tactical 5-shot and lighter with a rib for better alignment to dot and less chance of high hitting due to lack of rib and short barrel of the tactical and the dot so low on barrel...the rib matters, unless you run a res dot...then it doesn’t lol...lots of guys cross shopping the 18.5" turkey pro to the tactical and i tend to agree, some industrial velcro and 5-shot esstac multi-cam cards on action and stock are a beauty match, vickers multi-cam sling also, when I handled the 5 shot tactical at csc, you definitely feel the weight difference fyi, that's all I got so far, have to go break in the action when I get a chance after chokes show up...have a look at this turkey version if you like the tactical guys, you might end up switching gears

Necro post... I picked up a 930 S&J +1 to use on my 940 turkey. It didn't quite fit. Threads are slightly different. Mossberg USA tech support says they're the same. I don't have a 930 to try the extension on. Either Mossberg is wrong, and the turkey has different threads, or the S&J extension is off spec.
I thought maybe Canada got a different 940 with off-spec threads to make extensions not work, but.. #1 I never heard any controversy about that, and #2 the exact model/SKU on my Mossberg box is exactly the same as sold all over the USA. So that would mean 930 extensions don't work on the 940 Turkey.
...which is perfectly plausible. Are the two platforms made in different facilities?
I bought a Mossberg 940 Tactical Pro and grabbed a 930 S&J "plus 2" length extension, which is blocked internally to +1 to be Canadian legal.
Works perfect. I wonder what the difference is to the +1 you picked up???
