mossberg barrel diameter

what is the mossberg tactical 22's barrel diameter i want to thread it for a fake can but don't know if the can will fit , would it fit if i threaded it to 1/2 x 28 tpi ? thanks

Its tapered, its ~ .610" at the muzzle, and ~.633" where the front sight ends.

I have threaded mine to 1/2 28 tpi, its getting a flashider.

I just slid mine on and tightened with a set screw.

ok sounds good, fabports site says it's 1.25 diameter but that sounds like the entire can, or is it the hole does anyone have one and know the diameter of justthe hole

The 1.25" is the O.D. of the can.
The I.D. of the treaded hole on the can would be 1/2"
If you got your barrel threaded 1/2X28 then it would screw right on. (assuming the can has 1/2X28 threads also)

Here is a standard tapered 10/22 barrel threaded 1/2X28 (.400" depth) with an older Fab Sports made can.

Honestly Target...I don't know??

It was in my parts and pieces drawer and it fit, so I painted it and installed it.
