Mossberg bead replacement

I recently replaced the bead on my shortened moss500 barrel.I drilled and tapped through the barrel(uncommon tap size 6-48 ) and used green loctite.I then used a dremmel and carefully ground the protruding end smooth with the ID.Is this a standard way of bead replacement?Will it be safe to shoot with only a few threads holding the bead in?

It will be safe to shoot but it may come unscrewed over time. The pressure at the end of an 18 (or even 12) inch barrel wil not blow out the bead.
