Mossberg bolt shot gun with adjustable choke

I may want to cut down the barrel on this shot gun and was wondering if the adjustable choke is threaded on or at least removable in some fashion and then can the choke be reattached to the shorter barrel

Most were silver soldered onto the barrel. You might have to turn down the outside of the barrel to fit but re-attaching it seems like a smart idea.
