I got a old mossberg-lakefield Mark III 22 autoloader from my grandpa

It seems to have issues extracting the shell after it fires

I am looking at the bolt right now and notice there is only an extractor on one side of the bolt, but the other side of it had a empty slot (for an another extractor maybe?)

does anyone know if there should be an 2 extractors on the bolt of this old rifle (one on each side of the bolt)

am i missing a extractor?

thanks

I'm not familiar with their auto loaders, but...

Could this slot be for a guide rail on that side?

Check on the side of the rifle (inside and out) and see if there is a place were an extractor might have been...as I have seen some other vintage semi auto .22s that have a guide/extractor inside, and the bolt slides along, and past it.

I expect the slot on the left side is the clearance for the ejector.
Check the extractor to make sure it still has its hook.
The most likely culprit is that the chamber has been peened slightly as a result of dry firing. If that is the case you'll need to have the chamber mouth swaged back to its correct dimension.
