Mossberg Maverick 88 20" Barrel 7+1

Hi i'm looking for one on these Mossberg Maverick 88 20" Barrels 7+1 and can't seem to find one available in Canada.

I see they are available on back order from a few retailers,but no one seems to actually have stock.

Has anyone seen one at a store or come across one for sale in their travels.

Any help would be appreciated.

Haven’t seen any in stock for a while, there are a couple on GP for sale if you are interested in that, one says never fired. I’ve bought a bunch of used shotguns over the years, haven’t got a lemon yet

Yah not really interested in buying one used ,especially for what people are asking.

I'm not in a hurry i have a 590A1 as my main shotgun.

I also intend on buying 2,they are to be used as truck guns.

Honest opinion, for what anyone will want for a spare barrel ($), it probably just makes sense to just buy another 88?

There seems to have been a run on Maverick 88s as there appears to be very few , if any , in stock now....not really sure why . Even the used ones seem to be selling quickly . Best of luck .

Hey Mr.Beeson, or anyone that might know, is the barrels on the Mossberg 500's{Maverick 88's etc.} measured Including what you can't see on the outside{measurement}?
I have a 500, & I see the barrel extends approx: 3/4" or so, past into the receiver where the shell sits in.
If I buy a plain 18.5" barrel, is the actual full length of the outside barrel 18.5" or does the part that goes past/into the receiver, become part of the actual barrels measurement{for 'legal' purposes}

*I asked/Posted this the other day. {see below} Reply was to measure down the barrel with bolt closed, with a rod. Doing it that way, the barrel measures an extra 3/4" 'you can't see'.

On this Mossberg 500 barrel, it extends past{into} the receiver. You can see the vent rib barrel flush with the receiver, then the other pic, shows what you can't see. So, is that inner part, part of the barrels measurement? If one wants to shorten their 500 barrel to 18", on the outside it would {only} be 17.25", as per the extra part that goes beyond what you can see, into the receiver{is 3/4"}...

Is this correct?

The "barrel" is measured from the face of the closed bolt. So, inclusive of the chamber. If you're chopping the barrel yourself, it's always wise to leave a little extra wiggle room on the 18" limit.

What do you consider a fair price? I have a Mossberg 88 with the regular stock, an ATI adjustable stock, the heat shield, over the barrel, and a 6 round carrier on the side.
It has fired less than a box of ammo. I bought it years ago to carry in my plane when in remote areas. I'd be interested in selling.
