Mossberg Maverick 88 All Purpose 12 Ga.

No choke on the shorty, cyl bore and no threads.

I bought a .410 for my girls, they enjoy shooting it. The 12, not so much.

Yes the 28" Maverick 88 is threaded. What pisses me off, is the Mossberg combo for around $300 with a 18.5" and a 28" doesn't come with a threaded barrel, it's fixed mod. It it was threaded, that would be a bargain.

These are not bad for a cheap gun, I have one, was my first shotgun. All they are is a cheaped out moss 500. Some times its hard to find part and acc. in listings, but if you find something that is ment to fit a 500 it will also fit an 88
 
We are thinking about trying our hand at blasting at clay. I was looking at the Remington 887 nitro mag...

But at 389.00 leaves me wondering what if its not our thing... but supposedly for recoil the remmy might be better for the wife that's a big contributing factor. she shot some birdshot out of my fathers mossberg 500 it kicked her a little to hard...she said she will not be into it unless whatever we get won't kick as hard.
