Had a person do the non-restricted test the other day. When he picked up the semi-auto .22, proved it safe, loaded 2 rounds into the magazine, prepared to drop the bolt to chamber a round AND HELD THE TRIGGER BACK WHILE HE DID IT! I said, "why did you do that? now I have to not give you the mark for loading the firearm and deduct 2 for touching the trigger?" He said, "my .22 Semi. will fire if you don't hold the trigger back when you drop the bolt". He said that after you chamber the first round there are no problems in firing. He said the gun has been like that since he bought it new. I asked what kind and model of gun, and when he got home he phoned & told me, Mossberg model 152. I looked it up in Gun Trader's Guide and it is the one with the front of the forend that folds down to make a pistol grip. I told him it isn't supposed to do that, is very unsafe, and to bring it to me next time he goes by. Has anyone else ever heard of this?
