This installation is (primarily) for Mossberg owners with pistol grips.
I just got this Shoten Armory extended action release. They have a good "how to" installation video on their website.
I must say, it is something you can do yourself with rudimentary skills, but it will still fight you every step of the way!

Awesome! I ordered the long version back on Jan 5th - but chose the cheapest snail mail option - how long did it take to get to you? Also do you have a pic installed on the whole rig you can share? Thanks!
 
I too took the snail mail option. Maybe two weeks delivery?
I bought it for a future (pistol gripped) build, but here it is in my (non-pistol gripped) trench gun tribute.
Like I mentioned previously, very fussy to install!!! Take your time.

That actually looks like a really good upgrade for anyone using a pistol-grip stock on a Mossberg pump.

I have run mine with an ATI pistol-grip stock in the past.
And hitting the slide release with my thumb always required a big movement of my whole hand.

This makes it easy to reach with the thumb, without changing your shooting grip.

I can't foresee the extended mag release slicing my thumb, I guess...its not like I'll be limp-wristing it,
and it doesn't move in a horizontal plane. I'll be sure to post photos though, if your scenario comes to pass.
