Why is the barrel short for a 308? Cosmetic preference?

My MVP Scout and my Ruger GSR 16.5" shoot 3/4 MOA@ 100 if I do my part and some groups are one ragged hole (photos on the forum if you want to check it out) and with good velocity. 200gr with CFE223 @ 2500 good enough? Or a 165 @ 2800 and change.

For a cheap rifle these are excellent IMO.

More so a bit of a waste of the cartridge in a bolt gun with POU being a bit different. But that's just me. In all honesty though it looked more like a 14" barrel. 16.25 isn't bad. Especially for a bush gun.

Yes, it would have been an excellent deal had we received the actual combo advertised with the Vortex Scope...instead of the Leapers it came with.
And then, after being told the advertisement with the Vortex was an honest mistake, not only would a replacement Vortex not be sent out, but shipping would not be covered either to send back the package following the "error".

They look amazing, that was a pretty good deal!
