Ordered 18 months ago, Mossberg finally supplied my LGS. It's the Marinecoat with a laminate stock, exactly like the pics online and the smaller caliber ones have been in store for some time. Front sight with red fiber optic bead that fell out and disappeared when I unboxed it. I like green better so I'll replace it. Rear sight is a low eared buckhorn. LOP seems longer than standard patriots, I put a slip on recoil pad on, makes it perfect for my long arms. Cheap plastic mag that needs fingertips to pull out. Quite light rifle, full power 375 loads should be character building. $655, but YMMV because I've had a deposit on this one for 18 months. Detachable mag the next rifle up is a Sako 85, Zavasta is similar price range to the Mossberg, blued with wood. I'll work up loads for this and use it like a beater gun. Might not shorten the CZ if this works out. I'm much more comfortable beating on this one in the rain/snow/mud than the Boyd's CZ. Later I'll take the stock off and adjust the trigger. The forend moves with pressure, barrel not quite centred in stock at the top of the forend, but this is a 375 Ruger for under $700. A guide gun from Ruger for $1725 is the main competitor.
 
Ok, this is actually interesting. I am sure that more than just a few of us would really like a range report, etc. Congrats on the new gun too.

I don't care much for Savage, but there's one in 375 Ruger that's been sitting at my local CT for at least a year.

I handled the Savage. Looked and felt worse than the Mossberg, sorry to say. The Howa Stainless short barrel was nowhere to be found, otherwise I would have one. This feels like a Mastercraft tool, looks a bit better than that. The 22" barrel is short enough for now. The 25" on my CZ 375 H&H is a bit unwieldy in the bush. I will be mounting a Vortex Diamondback 2-8x32. The barrel is fully floated. Weighs 6.4 lbs according to the digital bathroom scale. Probably be a few days before I get to the range, lots going on this weekend.
 
Shorter barrels preferred - I like the handy feel of my 21-1/4" barrel .375 H&H Mag. Sako 85 Kodiak, my 20" barrel .416 Ruger Alaskan (shown below) and my 20" barrel .416 Rem. Mag. Zastava LKM70 Fullstock Carbine.

It's amazing how well the NEW KING has taken off, although it's not surprising. Just as predicted, more and more rifle manufacturers have seen how much the 375 Ruger appeals to people,and have added rifles to their line up to capitalize on the tremendous popularity of what is quickly becoming the most successful .375 cartridge of all time.
 
Where can we get these patriot's in 375 Ruger here in Canada? I have been looking but no one has them in 375 Ruger it seems.. I wonder if they are even in the country yet.
