Mossberg pump 535 3.5 inch chamber light hammer strike questions

Hi all. I purchased a 535 from cabelas in there used gun room for cheaper price with the
Mention that it had light stroke issues.

I took it out today finally and it goes boom but doesn’t slam the primer hard.


Is there warranty in canada I should reach out to? Is this common or an easy fix?
Can I swap out a 500 or 590 or 400 trigger set? I am not certain because of the 3.5” chamber.


Any input is appreciated. Thx!
 
The 535 is not compatible with the other 500 series. Only buttstocks and forends with the metal lock ring are

First drop the trigger group and see if theres any debris blocking the hammer. Next pull the bolt apart and clean well. If that doesnt fix it you may need a new spring or pin
 
I personnaly own a mossberg 500 and a 535, i confirm most parts are not compatible; if i were having similar issues i'd contact mossberg to see if they actually stand behind their product and if they can get you replacement parts to fix the issue
