Looking into getting a 152 series or later semi-auto 22lr
I've got a Mossberg 142a "T" bolt handle mfg in 1949, super accurate and I love the folding foreend.

Is there magazine compatability between the 142a rifles to the 152 semi autos? I'd love it if there was, I have it in my head that I read there was cross compatability between models years ago and haven't found anything in my searching.

Anyone shot any of these old semis and compared them to the bolt action counterparts of the same vintage?

I really like the classic looking guns with character, this particular series of 22 with that folding fore-end is so nice to shoot holding it nice and steady.

140 uses a R632(144LSA, 140B, 140K, 142A, 142K, 142M )
152 uses a R498(144, 144LS, 152, 152K)
I would try them in each rifle to see if they function.

Yes, I've had many of the old Mossberg semis, love them. Several flavours of 151 and 351, but they are tube fed. Hold many boolits.

Thanks for the information on the numbers. My mags for the 142a have no marks. Definitely planning on function checking with a snap cap if I can find one in my local area.

Those tube-fed models are nice looking. I like it when a gun has a good capacity. I want one, but I want a mag model more at the moment, quicker reloads and less cumbersome in hasty reloads- I've sent just over 3000 rounds down range to greet gophers in the last 10 days. Felt like I got somewhere in the battle when it took longer to shoot my 40 rounds as opposed to loading 40 rounds.
