Wondering if anyone has any experience with these shotguns. I noticed the Khan Arms o/u Setter Premium 12g 3" over at TradeEx. I am looking for an over under mostly for shooting clays and what not. They look pretty nice, seem to be Turkish made? But really tough to find much to research on the web.

So, anyone that owns a Khan Arms shotgun? Any thoughts on quality, durability, function etc?

Edit** mossberg Silver Reserve input also welcomed.

A search on the net will reveal all kinds of negative reports on the Kahn made Silver Reserves from soft steel, to firing pin problems, to double firing, to no firing to poor internal workmanship to loose actions in short order. It has been questioned a number of times how Mossberg continues to put their name on such a gun. But, to each their own.

If your intent is clays shooting then this is not the gun. Lots of negative reviews on the Mossberg Silver Reserve. At least you have been warned.

+1 on the above.

They are an ok shotgun for the guy that shoots a few game birds and rabbits every fall but that's it! On the Trap, Skeet or Sporting fields the are pretty well shot loose within a maximum of 2000 rds... which is typically ONE summer for an average newcomer. I spend lots of time on ranges shooting clays and see lots of these fail in short order...they are the biggest mistake and disappointment a newer clay shooter can make!

Edit: They have made changes and made a recall for the firing pins...but the actions still shoot loose in about 2000rds!

I have the setter. Love it it fits great its light. It is truly a cheap piece of #### with no warranty service in Canada. First the barrel selector wouldn't work. Then the front bead broke off the mod choke blew the body out of it after 2 shots of #3 steel 2.75" shells. Needed vise grips and a hammer to get it out Now the bottom firing pin broke and I've been arguing with their 1 gun tech in the states to send me new pins and springs with no luck.

Wow! That review makes a Boito double look like a Perazzi :)
