Okay I bought my first gun back in January, a GSG 1911 .22. I love it and its cheap to shoot. But now I'm looking for a .22 rifle that is somewhat "Tacticool" (I know I am going to receive some grief for being a Tactical Enthusiast but what ever.)

Ive been looking around and found 2 options that have piqued my interest. The Mossberg Tactical .22 and the marauder kit for the 10/22. And I would appreciate all constructive input.

all depends on what is important to you, the look or the function
the scar replica is about $650
the 10/22 plus the marauder kit you're probably $250 for a 10/22 plus $200 for the kit
the mossberg tactical .22 you're looking at $280

I look at each of those being in a price point of their own so then its a matter of which do you like the look / feel of and that no one can tell you what you'll like. But... if you wanted to go to a regular rifle look, you can always put the 10/22 back into its original stock and have that option.

Do like i'm doing now.

Mossberg plinkster 702 (which is the same mechanism as the tactical) and convert to a G36c using official H&K airsoft shell. (you're basically making yourself a dress up kit like the marauder, only it feels and look a lot more real, as the airsoft shell is a 1:1 reproduction of the real thing)

Looks 100 times better than both the tactical and the marauder kit! plus its a fun project.

Any links on where to find the G36c shell? Or vids of how it's done?

Thx!

Don't forget that with the high grab handle on the Mossberg mounting a red dot or scope would br awful high. The new flat top would be better, if you are only gonna leave open sights then fine. Also there is the Remington VTR.
