Mossberg "tactical" O/U

I had been in the states in the last few days and picked up a recent mossberg magazine and saw this advertised, I was wondering if anyone else had herd of it? And more importantly if anyone knows if well be seeing any of them soon!

Does this belong in the same category as the Mossberg "Chainsaw"? I haven't seen this, but I'm assuming it's simply a double-barreled O/U that's been "tacti-cooled", right?

The point is its easy money for Mossberg...throw it in a black plastic stock, add a black plastic rail, give it a cool sounding name with "tactical" added and THEN make a few cool looking advertising photos of a man defending his faimly with it and boom...you can now sell said gun for 2x-3x as more then its worth.

*Optional*...adding barrels that are unless beyond 20 or so yards is common place too!

What had me interested was the advertised 260-280 American price point

This would break down into a small package for carry, what with only 2 pics,it'd be fairly quick to put to gether I would think, and I read the bore is chromed, meh, that was all I had.

It is the HS12. It will come in 2 models, 1 with Cylinder bore barrels and 1 with screw in chokes (IC and Mod included). I would imagine they would be as regulated as other "Maverick" O/U's which is to say quite well from all reports I can find. They have 2 small rail sections on them, one on top of the reciever and one under the barrel. They are aluminum pinned to steel mounts so they can be replaced if damaged. My only complaint is the 18 1/2" barrels, thank US short barrel rules for that, and extractors not ejectors which would slow up reloads somewhat. It is 36 1/2" OAL, 6 1/4 lbs. I have not yet heard if they are coming up here or not but they do look like a nice little gun. It says $450US in the atricle in the catalog BTW.
The other thing I noticed in their newest catalog is the 505 Bantam 20 ga pump. I think that would make a great HD shotgun and even with a 20" barrel is only 37 1/2" OAL and 5 1/4 lbs with a 5 shot 2 3/4" and 4 shot 3" capacity. It comes with screw in chokes in Cyl, Mod, Full. It seems to retail @ around $300CAN or less.
