Wondering if those tactical mossberg turkey guns make any sense? They have pistol grips and collapsible stocks. Never shot a gun setup like this but thinking they might just be the thing for turkey. You are almost always all crouched up in some uncomfortable position and that adjustable stock should help? Anybody turkey hunt with something like this?

I do. Not the tactical turkey but basically the same ati 6 position stock. I use it mostly with the slug barrel but also the waterfowl/turkey barrels. It helps soak up some recoil and makes it more comfortable while sitting. I even use it for trap and skeet sometimes.

I was thinking the same thing for my Turkey set up, probably couldn't hurt and the pistol grip would help soak up some recoil from Turkey loads. I went a different direction on mine because I couldn't find an aftermarket stock that I liked for my 870, but the reasoning behind it seems solid. Good luck

I tried one of those knoxx adjustable ar style stocks on a 20G mossberg and the recoil was 10 times worse than that of my 12G 835 shooting deer slugs.

I don't know how one comes to the conclusion that they reduce recoil? And it is hard as hell to keep a good sight picture because you know the stock is going to rock your cheek on the next shot.

The ati stock is very comfortable when using the stock drop spacer

However for turkey loads why beat your self up. I just use 7/8oz #6 shot. At 1350fps. Kills turkeys dead

I have the Knoxx stock on my Moss590, and one 00 buck round really raddled me, and on a bit of a side note: I have a friend that put a FAB Defence recoil absorbing AR-15 tube on his CZ-858, he replaced the spring in it with 25 pennies, fixed his bad recoil problems for literally $25.
