Mossberg trap choke

Does Mossberg make an "improved modified" choke for shooting trap, a member at my club recommended this choke.

To my knowledge there is only skeet, improved, modified, full and different turkey chokes.

I have the 535 ATS and I am looking for the accu choke one, if it exists. Right now I am using modified.

P.S. I know this shotgun is not the ideal trap gun, its really just for fun.

Your Full or Modified Chokes should be fine for Trap. Why not take the gun out and pattern it with the loads you will be shooting.

IIRC, "Browning Standard Invector" ( NOT Invector Plus) and the old style "Winchokes" are interchangeable with the Mossberg 535. Both are/were available in Improved Mod.

No matter what the choke tube is marked, you should pattern as suggested.... not all tubes deliver what's stamped on them, and different brands of cartriges & shot sizes often deliver varied results.

The kinds of patterns required for shooting Trap at 16 yards with size 7-1/2 & 8 are more often than not provided by
"Modified" chokes.

What distance do you "pattern" for trap?
I only have ever shot from the 16yd line...

Still a newbie 870 Express 28" with Mod choke....
