mossburg 88

i just picked one up this week, have only put 10 rounds through it for testing (5 buck, 5 slug) and i really like it. i've shot one with a pistol grip before, mine does not have the pistol grip because i shot one with it before lol basically don't get the pistol grip or there goes your accuracy and you better have a good tolerance for pain.

so far no problems with it (then again only 10 rounds) but at the same time i have a mossberg .22 and i've found that they go against the saying "you get what you pay for" thousands of rounds through my .22 and i've had one misfire. no problems with the gun and i'm quite pleased at what mossberg delivers for the money.

some quick advice though, run a search for the 88 and read what people have to say here, i did that before i bought it and it seems only 1 or 2 people had problems with the gun not firing due to a stiff spring or something of the sorts.

I've had one for about 10 years. Never had a problem with it. It cycles all types of shells with no problems. It's a very light gun that's easy to carry all day. Many different add-ons and barrels for it at fair prices. It will be my main deer gun this year. Here's a pic.

I bought mine several years ago from SIR in Manitoba for about $260.00 and it shoots great for geese, ptarmigan and seals. Mine has been thru hell and back on my ATV and my qamutiq(sled behind skidoo) for several years and still shoots great ... catches as much animals as my friends $1000 plus shotties ... ;) :p ... I recently had it re-done with an ARMACOAT wood-land type camo paint job by Barret Arms in Alberta and she looks great and functions flawlessly again ... cheers,

Otokiak ... :D
