New to the world of shotguns, picked up a used mossberg 500. Thing has been great, but it seems to have trouble clearing the spent shell from the ejection port. the shells seem to get hung up on the way out. Maybe 1 in 3 seem to fail to clear out. Tired a few different types of ammo, 00buck, bird, slugs. seems to happen with all. Where should i go from here?

Might need to replace the ejector.

This is a simple job with a Mossberg as the ejector is held in place with a screw rather than with a rivet as is the case with an 870. There's a recess the ejector sits in, so basically there's no way of getting it wrong and nothing you can hurt.
