Mossy 535 ATS 3 Barrel Combo

I checked on line and people have said you should be able to remove the extended turkey choke on the turkey barrel this combo came with, but I have tried and can't make it budge.

the key that came with it has two sizes, 500 or Ulti-mag, neither fit the notches on the choke. The choke has knurled grips machined into it. I have used adjustable grips with a rag to try an move it, and it will not.

Has anyone tried removing the turkey choke to put on the IC choke so the short barrel can be used for home security?

My choke came off with no problems. If I were you I would return it. I put a camo pistol grip on mine and I use the short barrel with it. The IC choke should thread on with no issues.

Yes! I got it off using vise grips, scratching the outside of the choke. The thread looked poorly machined. The IC choke went in fine.

Not the best way but use rubber tubing from a pedal bike,a piece of rubber mud flap or a barrel vice if you want to use it again you won't scratch it and you risk egg shaping it or crushing it with vice grips. Just a friendly open minded comment to a fellow gun nut.
