I am wondering what you guys think the most accurate hunting rifle for big game like deer and moose. The longest shot would only be about 250 yrds but most are only 100 yrds.

It's the one you have carefully worked up a load for using a suitable bullet and you've sighted in. Mind you, hunting accuracy isn't the same as target accuracy. Two or three inches at 100 yards is accurate enough for most hunting.
However, if you're asking which commercial rifle is best, they're all about equal. The best out-of-the-box accuracy for a reasonable price is a Savage. The model doesn't matter as they're all the same action with different features.

if shots are limited to 250 yards, you should be able to find dozens and dozens of rifle types to put 5 shots from a decent rest into a moose's heart with little problem.

I personally would suggest a Remington M700 in 270, 280, 7mm, 308, or 30-06. Shoot handloads and practice alot. :D
