Most accurate non-corrosive 7.62x39?

Has anyone found an accurate, non-corrosive 7.62 x 39 round. Have tried the Barnaul but even the corrosive milsurp stuff is more accurate than it! Your experience thoughts.....

Hornady stuff is fairly accurate in any 7.62 I have tried it in. The PRVI hunting ammo I have used has been very accurate.

Thank you, I actually used to use that same brand in my 6.5x55 before I started reloading for it. I used to buy it from a gunsmith when it was cheap, then it got real expensive(6.5 that is!). Where do you purchase yours?

Hornady SST. Steel cased but non corrosive. 1.5" groups consistenly with my AR. Barnul is like you said, worse than 40yr old surplus.

My experience with Barnaul is quite positive and it shot ~ 5 MOA out of my last '49 SKS.

Depends on your gun.

My one seems to really like the Norinco non corrosive. About twice as accurate as the Hornady ammo for that specific gun.

South African surplus, if you can find it, is very good in my bolt action rifle chambered in 7.62x39

I bought Hornady,Tula, Silver Bear and Golden Bear and tried them all in my Draco. They were either hollow points or soft points. the price spread was $3.99 to $32.00 and they all shot the same. At 50 yards they were a 3" spread to a 1 1/2 spread. At 100 yards the spread ranged from 5" to 8" with all of my shots grouping nicely. Needless to say with a 12" barrel and shooting offhand I could not complain, and I found out that $32.00 for 20 rounds of Hornady ammo was a waste of money. I plan on using my Draco for deer hunting and I will use any of these bullets as their all comparable. their all non-corrosive also.

It would be difficult to compare accuracy potential of different ammos unless one had an accurate rifle to use for testing. I built one for that purpose. A bolt action Rem 788 with a match quality barrel. It groups handloads under a minute.

I have shot 30 rounds of it in my Zastava M85. It's decent ammo but I didn't find it to be overly special. If I recall I was hitting 2" groups with them which is about as good as I get with anything else in that gun.

I bought a few boxes for hunting deer really. Not target practice.
