Most powerful 12 Guage Slug?

What is the most powerful 12 Guage slug on the market. It's for bear defense against black bears when I'm on canoe trips and camping trips. I only have a 2 3/4" shotgun for now. My barrel is a 20" Smooth Bore with rifle sights.

I've found that Federal Premium Barnes Xpander makes very short work of moose, but rifled choke/barrel is mandatory, and at 20$ per box of 5 slugs, it's quite costly. Since you have a smoothbore, and don't seem to have a rifled choke, that would scratch any sabot slug from the list

Else, Federal Power Shock rifled slug 1.25 ounce has 2800 lb*ft of muzzle energy, which is probably the most powerful, widely available load in 2.75 chambering.

Federal power shok 1 1\4OZ are probably the best buy for the money. Plus they make short work of most anything you hit them with. There are sabot slugs that are quite nasty but other members have covered that.
