Most Precise and Accurate Barrels available in Canada??

Best barrels?????????????

This could be an interesting thread, I have had good luck with the HART barrels, but the Kreiger barrels are very good. Depending on the gunsmith you use most can get whichever barrel you want. When you buy the best of barrels they are all priced very closely, and now with the Canadian dollar going up it makes it easier than it was.

There are MANY top quality match grade barrels available in Canada and a few of those are made in Canada. No one brand is 100 percent better than another. Shooters in the past have never had such a fine selection of quality barrels as are available now.

Keiger, Bartlein, Sheilen, McGowen, Pac-Nor, Douglas, Gaillard

I'm sure there is more, take your pick. They all shoot 10x better than factory and win competitions. Get whatever one offers that caliber and size/contour and other options you require.

There is a lot more to accuracy than the barrel. But the barrel is a major factor.

I have used Krieger(2), McLennan(2), Obermeyer, Bartlein, so far. I also have a McLennan on a Wichita and one on a Musgrave that I just picked up. The only barrel I had that didn't shoot well was one of the Mclennan's. My present #1 target rifle wears a Bartlein.

I got into selling Krieger, because I use Krieger.

Krieger barrels won every major F-Class event in Western Canada this year.

Every barrel make makes good barrels. Every barrel maker produces some bad. Krieger makes the most consistently outstanding barrels in the business.

I am sure the top name barrel makers are all excellent.

l am shooting a Kreiger right now and it is incredibly accurate and I am very impressed with it.

No regrets whatsoever in my choice.

Here is a pic of my new Shilen 260AI prethreaded and chambered barrel for a Savage test target at 100yds this morning. 8 rds were shot to get close to this target (had to fuss with my scope shims) and the final 12 rds on target.

Of course, this is still early in the barrel work up but initial test groups (first 20rds) in the 0's and 1's definitely show potential.

All top named BR barrels can shoot very well. Every now and then, you will get an exceptional hummer or a dud. But dealing with a quality brand will usually get you a bughole barrel.

I think Broughton barrels have been kicking some serious F Class butt in Ontario for the last few years, but I hope some of the F Class guys will pipe in here if I am wrong.
