Most reliable Rimfire pistol

I have 3 kadets. Shoot often with my boys. They don't complain but they have tough hands. Do I have you consent to share your posts with some shooting buddies outside this forum? Honestly loading 22 mags without a button is not a deal breaker for most anyone with working hands

Share away lol....and I've been a mechanic going on 30 yrs so my hands are tougher than most. More scar tissue than skin at this point.

My Buckmark Contour URX is not fussy about ammo, nor is my Ruger SR 22P. The Buckmark is way more accurate than the Ruger and its trigger is great out of the box. You can put a red dot or other optic on the Buckmark's rail too.

I have a victory and have fired about 500 rounds through from brand new. I had I jam that that was mixed amo brands in the mag. I just started shooting and with this gun I have a 3- 4 in group at 10 and 15 meters.

I had 4 inch & 6 inch S&W 617's Both very reliable.
I would definitely check out the Ruger MKII 5.5 Target Bull Barrel.
I had mine for 20 years. It was very accurate, reliable, and ate everything I fed it.
I only sold it because I finally decided to get my S&W 41. Which I Love.
Best of luck.

I have limited experience, but I have a 1970's era High Standard Sport King that had a not-so-easy life before I got it. It eats it all. Someday, I want to pick up the target version of the same pistol. I love it's feel, it's accuracy, and it's reliability.

If I lived stateside and could handgun hunt I'd pick up a ruger MKII pistol (22 lr) as a sidearm to pop birds and rabbits for the camp stew pot while big game hunting.
They are solid, reliable and accurate guns.
Owned one back in the pre-pal days when owning handguns wasn't such a pita.
They were going to try a handgun hunting season in ontario but apparently the ofah threw a wrench into the works on that idea.
Too much money to put out for a paper puncher.
Never found a good recipe for used targets.

Years ago, first pistol I bought was a blued ruger mark 2 with 5 1/2 in barrel n adjustable sites. That gun ate any and every ammo I fed it, stingers, yellow jackets, standard vel, high vel, didn't matter. Very reliable in my experience, great gun!
