Most versatile barrel length for an O/U?

The longest barrels that feel good to you. Handle as many different ones as possible. Shooting as many differents ones as possible would be even better.

Seconded

my very favourite shotgun- a very nice older 12g Browning Citori Upland with 26" pipes and fixed I/C and Mod.
This length really works well for me- literally point and shoot!

In tight brush the shorter barrell points very quickly!

Just to follow up and confirm I actually use the advice posted in the threads I start: I bought a double with 30" barrels and have enjoyed it very much at skeet and trap so far.

Thanks all. :)

Well I have 2 citori 12ga shotguns the first 1 I bought was very nice 26" field gun .shooting skeet with it I was a pretty consistant 18 shooter.I then bought a 30" 725 sporting .and i thought how much difference can 4" of barrel make well I am now a pretty consistant 23 shooter.the big difference was noticed on the trap field where i would be around 12 targets with the 26' barrels compared to 20 targets or better with the 30' barrels.the 30" barrells have also helped increase my sporting clays shooting by probley 15 to 20 %.the 30" barrels just plain and simply swing better for target shooting .i don't use it for hunting so I can't comment on that.how ever i do love that little 26" gun in the alder patches when hunting grouse its very mannurverable and is quick to point in tight spots.
